     10 Things About Mark

 

  1. Mark and his wife, Sherrie, have been married since 1981 and have 7 children and 16 grandchildren.
  2. Mark was born in Salt Lake City, Utah where he spent most of his early years. After his sophomore year in High School, his family moved to Arizona.
  3. Mark has always had a passion for sports, skiing, basketball, golf, tennis, or now pickleball. During High School he even joined the swim team for one year…which was enough.
  4. Mark spent two years in Italy and loves the Italian people, culture, language, and food!
  5. Mark graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in business management, with a Finance emphasis.
  6. Mark has a passion for all things finance. He has spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry helping clients plan for retirement, safeguard their assets, and enjoy their retirement years.
  7. Mark has spent many years serving his community through volunteer service with his Church. He has enjoyed serving youth and adults.  Part of this service included a three-year leave of absence from his employment, together with his wife, to oversee the efforts of 800 young men and women who volunteered their time as missionaries.
  8. Mark and his family love to be involved in “DIY” projects. Several years ago, they completely relandscaped their yard, including sprinklers, stacked rock walls, large patio, planted over 40 trees, hundreds of bushes, and new sod for grass.  They are now remodeling the entire upstairs of their home which includes the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and closets.
  9. Mark and Sherrie enjoy vacationing in Hawaii but are ready to try other beach destinations. During these vacations he enjoys reading good books that educate, inspire, and motivate a higher purpose in life.
  10. Mark is a people person. He enjoys talking with his clients and others to learn from their experiences.  Through these conversations, he strives to be a good listener, being sensitive to others needs, concerns, and goals.  He believes what really matters is how we treat others.
